This new lunar cycle is looking to be a little bit of a better one than the previous one. It isn’t without it’s quirks and challenges though. Many major shifts are ongoing, and we have another major one coming up later on in the summer.
The New Moon Itself
New Moon Gemini peaks at 06 Gem 05’40” on May 26th, 2025 at 8:02 PM PDT / May 27th, 2025 at 3:02 AM UTC.
This New Moon occurs in the third sign of the zodiac, governing how we communicate, day-to-day travel, and how we convey our thoughts and feelings to the world. A time where many of us will be speaking our truths, or at least what some would consider our truths.
Sun conjunct Moon is the main aspect, as always, denoting new beginnings, projects, adventures, and other things. Mercury rules Gemini so this could be a good time to begin that new writing project you’ve been putting off, or that programming project you’ve been meaning to get to for awhile.
Other Aspects to the New Moon
Speaking our Peace
New Moon Gemini conjunct Mercury and 432 Pythia is an interesting combination.
Mercury, the communicator and traveler of the cosmos, is at home in Gemini, so this is definitely a good time to get things off of your chest. Mental clarity can be sharpened now too, and it’s a good time to plan that outing you’ve been wanting to do. Now, whether you have the means or funds for that is another matter.
Pythia is more of an esoteric asteroid, so we’re digging deep into the ether for clarity. Pay close attention to what comes to mind, and as always, make sure those thoughts aren’t coming from malicious entities.
New Moon Gemini sextile Saturn, Neptune, Ceres, and 5325 Silver in Aries also ramps things up a bit, but in a softer way.
Saturn conjunct Neptune in early Aries is a tricky one. Where Pisces gave a more relaxed, dreamlike, and fanciful (or at least subdued) feel to our illusions, delusions, daydreams, and loftier goals, Aries demands energy, focus, and being more assertive (or aggressive) about our ideologies.
The New Moon sextile this conjunction gives some sense of moderation to this, but can still be tricky. Expect more people to be espousing their beliefs and agendas like never before.
New Moon Gemini sextile 5325 Silver does add a money-making (or losing) aspect to this, so good (or bad) ideas are more likely to be launched now. Whether they’re a good investment or not is up in the air, and I expect there will be some volatility. But there will be plenty of enthusiasm for sure.
Ceres making a wide sextile to New Moon Gemini also adds a bit of home-and-hearth vibe to this. This can be a good time to tidy up and improve your home in some way.
Pluto retrograde in Aquarius trine New Moon Gemini is another aspect that further amplifies the effect of this lunar cycle. It may be easier to make the changes necessary to remove outworn linkages from your life now to pave the way for other partnerships that will help you grow towards the future. This is especially true in the online realm and in technology, such as the proliferation of AI.
You can also expect more resistance to AI to build with this aspect, or at least a moderating aspect on how it impacts all of us. Not just that, but other forms of technology as well. However, do expect some more inroads to online surveillance with this aspect.
New Moon Gemini square 10961 Buysballot in Virgo does denote a lunar cycle of potential bribery and corruption behind the scenes. Quite calculated schemes too. Be aware, and shine a light on the manipulation.
Finally, New Moon Gemini quincunx Black Moon Lilith and Vesta retrograde in Scorpio, and another quincunx to Ixion retrograde in Capricorn signals to me some messages about justice, betrayal, and people hosting themselves by their own petards (or, in other words, screwing themselves in their schemes) will be making the airwaves.
One could pay close attention to the news cycle to see how world events will unfold, but as there’s a lot that’s not being reported, and the mental strain of focusing on crises that you cannot do much about, it’s better to protect your own peace and just transmit your creative visions out to the world.
I, for one, haven’t been paying attention to the news near as much today, and I’m a lot happier. It really contaminates your energy being immersed in that bullshit.
Other Notable Aspects During the New Moon
Act or Don’t Act in Commitments
Venus in Aries trine Mars in Leo can be a little tricky, despite being a “soft” aspect.
Venus isn’t in its happy place in Aries, which complicates things a little. However, there’s still that drive to get some feel-good energy for ourselves. Overtures to that friend you’d like to be more than friends with, that sort of thing.
The trine to Mars does add a bit of flair to these proceedings, as Mars in Leo is all about finding and experiencing some good fun and getting that good fun and adventure now.
Venus quincunx Juno retrograde in Scorpio, however, makes things tricky if you’re desiring something longer lasting than a hookup or one-nighter. Make sure you and whoever you’re wanting to be with are on the same page about what’s expected.
Venus quincunx 37117 Narcissus in Scorpio wants you to make sure that you’re not being taken in by a selfish lover in the process. Or are they even a selfish lover? Things aren’t clear. Maybe it’s a bit of both altruistic love and wanting to get rocks off.
Mars in Leo square Narcissus might be leaning this more towards the “getting his rocks off” kind of deal. Maybe you’re going for someone who wants to commit, but can’t for whatever reason.
Tempering Our Expectations
Jupiter conjunct 2696 Magion in Gemini can make some magic happen with our lofty goals and aspirations, but Jupiter’s not in its best position being opposite of its main sign (Sagittarius).
Plus, with Jupiter opposite 26955 Lie retrograde on Galactic Center in Sagittarius, we need to make sure you do not lie to yourself in the process.
Jupiter square Saturn and Neptune in Aries also amps up the potential for disappointment and some hard reality checks. And this is a growth process we’re forced to go through right now too, given that Jupiter also squares the North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo. Our destiny and how much we want to go towards the future is being challenged right now.
Jupiter square 433 Eros in Pisces, close to the North Node, does also force us to consider the disappointments in love may be what we need to move towards the future. “No” could be “Not Now”, but you need to be smart and wise enough to know if that’s really the case. Saturn and Neptune can drive this point home, and remember the Jupiter opposition to Lie as well.
Do not lie to yourself. Sometimes “no” is “hell no” too.
Jupiter sextile Chiron and Eris in Aries does allow for some healing to come of all of this though. Be certain you’re not bullshitting yourself so you can move on to better things, or wait for the good things, and be wise enough to know the difference. And… maybe pleasant surprises can come from working on yourself.
So don’t act all defeated when it’s a pause in the battle.
In Closing
To sum this up, this is a way better lunar cycle for expressing ourselves and our feelings on matters. However, do be warned to watch for those who would ramp up the rhetoric and ideologies.
There can be a tendency to mob action with that Saturn-Neptune link, so be careful around those trying to stir up trouble.
Keep your shit together, watch for good opportunities, and you’ll probably be fine this coming month.
