Here we are. The culmination of the Summer 2026 Eclipse Season, and the final eclipse in Pisces until 2034. This also marks the next to last eclipse on the Virgo-Pisces axis until 2034 (with the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo in Feburary 2027 being the final one).
This will also be the last Lunar Eclipse specifically in Pisces until September 2043. (There will be Solar Eclipses in Pisces before then).
This Lunar Eclipse (capitalization intentional) acts as a final culmination and closure point for endings and completions pertaining to the Leo Solar Eclipse from earlier. This also acts as a culmination for the Virgo-Pisces eclipse axis for the past couple of years. What have we learned? What insights have we gleaned from the cosmos? And how are we making that work for us?
The Essentials of the Lunar Eclipse
Lunar Eclipse Pisces hits maximum intensity at 04 Pis 54’07” on August 27th, 2026 9:18 PM PDT / August 28th, 2026 4:18 AM UTC.
This Lunar Eclipse is in Pisces, the twelfth and final sign of the zodiac. Ruled by Neptune and Jupiter, the more lofty ideals and dreamlike visions, as well as illusions and hallucinations we fall under, like spells, come into play.
Sun opposite Moon remains the primary aspect of this and all Full Moons and Lunar Eclipses. As an eclipse, this has greatly amplified energy and will be affecting us for the next several months, all the way to perhaps a year from now. Illusions we’ve been under will end, and the practical realities denoted by the Sun in Virgo will force us to face realities we really don’t want to face but must.
We want to pursue dreams and may be bummed we haven’t hit all of them yet. The practical concerns remain, and are anything but concrete.
Other Aspects Interacting Directly With the Lunar Eclipse
Do Not Expect Stability
Lunar Eclipse Pisces, along with the Sun in Virgo, form a T-Square apexing Uranus in Gemini. This is a volatile aspect that must be mentioned.
Uranus is rebellion, surprise, sudden changes. In Gemini, ruled by Mercury, we can expect messages and changes out of the blue, and our communications and day-to-day travel and local environments will be heavily stressed. We need to keep things stable, while we’re trying to plan and hope for the future. But conditions are not allowing for any measure of stability, and the news and events keep changing. Some of the changes that come and will keep coming for the next several months may border on the insane, and pretty much “come out of left field.”
You Must Make Some Informed Decisions
Lunar Eclipse Pisces pulls the bowstring toward the Sun, interacting with the Yod from Pluto retrograde (Rx) in Aquarius sextile Neptune Rx in Aries, apexing the Sun and Mercury in Virgo.
A Yod is a special aspect, where two bodies that are making an “easier” sextile aspect both make a quincunx (~150 degree) aspect to a third body. It becomes a Yod Kite when a fourth body or point oppose the apexing body of the Yod. In this case, the Moon portion of the Lunar Eclipse itself, amplifying things further.
So Neptune Rx sextile Pluto Rx in their signs are forcing us to confront what our beliefs and visions are, and also how we’re internally remaking ourselves in the changing world. It’s a call to be true to ourselves in a way, but not yet ready to fully commit to making our changes heard in the world. A planning phase, if you will.
With Neptune Rx quincunx Sun/Mercury, we struggle to communicate our vision for the world. We know there’s a practical way to do things, and we know what we want to say, but not how to say it.
Then Pluto Rx quincunx Sun/Mercury adds to the conundrum in that we see things that we know have to be changed. Probably very unconventionally so. But it’s either falling on deaf ears, or we’re being ignored by the structures that are still very much in control.
Chiron Rx in the critical 0 degree of Taurus square Pluto Rx in Aquarius does not help this matter. Chron is the wounded healer, and being retrograde that healing and wounding is turned inwards. We’re currently seeing how the instability in people forcing their will and their own “beat of their drums” is destabilizing resources, money, and markets. The recent spate of food recalls and contaminations are very much playing into this. Frozen blueberries, beef, lettuce… and now even medical supplies like saline solutions contaminated with fiberglass.
It’s an absolute shitshow when certain structures are stripped away and protections removed.
North Node has also entered Aquarius, and while it does not make a direct aspect to Pluto, it is further amplifying the technological issues here (given Aquarius being representative of the Information Age). This, plus the Lunar Eclipse-Uranus T-Square, it’s showing all sorts of rebellion and resistance to technological concerns. The continued destruction of Flock cameras by activists is certainly an example. And the authority figures are now beginning to put up decoys to catch those targeting the actual cameras that have been misused and abused by multiple law enforcement figures and “law enforcement cosplayers” like ICE. (Fuck ICE, by the way, if my stance has been in any way ambiguous).
Back to the Sun/Mercury apex of the Lunar Eclipse Yod Kite, asteroids 545 Messalina and 4955 Gold also join Sun/Mercury at the apex of the Yod.
Messalina, named for a promiscuous Roman empress of legend, does denote that there will be some theme of excess and promiscuity, and Gold (self-explanatory) further feeds into this. And with 10961 Buysballot Rx with Neptune Rx, there can be some backroom deals and manipulations attempting to steer various activities to a predetermined outcome.
So do be careful for manipulation tactics and bribery during this eclipse period. That could be seduction, particularly in a work or obligatory setting, and also outright election and contract or intellectual property manipulation. Given the link to Pluto Rx in Aquarius, technological and AI-based manipulations are also in force.
Other Aspects Active During This Lunar Eclipse
Trouble Ahead
Mars in Cancer square Saturn Rx in Aries isn’t the most pleasant aspect.
While Mars in 2nd decan Cancer brings some energy and passion in the home space for some, there’s also an aspect of some rearranging and not-quite-spring cleaning here.
Saturn Rx in second decan Aries isn’t in its strongest position, being in its fall position and debilitated. There’s that desire to get going and move things along, but it’s like we’re getting in our own way while we’re trying to do the fun stuff.
Mars square Saturn Rx in this pattern is like we want to go out and have fun and get our future plans going, but we’re having to hold back, and also take care of matters in the home and private space that really have to get resolved. Think wanting to have a social life, or pursue a passion project or even something to start a new business, but a roommate from hell gets in the way and throws out all of your notebooks, forcing you to start from scratch. Not fun at all.
Mars also conjuncts 1181 Lilith and opposes 128 Nemesis and Pholus Rx in Capricorn (themselves out of range of squaring Saturn Rx). Lustful activities and refusing to be bound to home conventions could lead to some anger and perhaps trouble with authority figures. Be especially careful if intoxicants are involved, though that could also imply self-undoing and being one’s own enemy in this instance.
The Shadows Erupt
Black Moon Lilith on Galactic Center is really bringing things out into the open that have been festering in the background.
The calculated point Black Moon Lilith represents some of the deeper, darker aspects of our selves, our psyches, and some deep feminine issues to boot. Women’s power and sense of self is the sense I get from this. Galactic Center amplifies this to the nth degree.
I do see a weak trine between Black Moon Lilith and Chiron Rx, so there’s that sense of healing potential here. But also some great wounding when the time for healing is over. The multiple well-regarded celebrity deaths of Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Dolly Parton (Musician, children’s reading advocate), Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show, Home Alone 2, etc.), and Peter Cullen (voice of Optimus Prime, Eeyore, etc.) really hits hard. We’re talking beloved figures passing, yet it appears the vile, twisted, and frankly evil people are continuing to exist (or at least not have their passings reported).
I suppose on the “upside” of this, this Black Moon Lilith on Galactic Center trine to Chiron Rx may denote that some people’s work has been completed and it’s time to go “home”, particularly to a point of great power. Hence, “rest in power.”
But trines aren’t always “easy”. They can denote missed opportunities if the work isn’t done, or lack of ability to actually do the work, the “easy way out”, “idleness”, or something that allows effort and life to slip away.
It reminds me of a quote from a Saturday morning live action show: “It’d be the easy way, but it’s not the cowboy way.” I wish I could remember the name of the show.
The individuals noted above, they certainly achieved a great deal, even with some struggles. (Tim Curry’s stroke, for one example. I wasn’t as familiar with Hayden.)
This aspect also denotes some antici… …pation… of some, ahem, desired passings that are not forthcoming, much to our dismay. But they know their time is coming. And a lot of damage can be done on the way out, as can also be evidenced by that Mars-Saturn Rx square.
Don’t Be Taken for a Ride
Venus in Libra (one of it’s home sign/domiciles) square 7328 Casanova and 6157 Prey in Cancer can be a bit testy, and a warning that not all that glitters is gold.
Casanova brings to mine one who would try to sweet-talk their way into someone given them their heart or, ahem, other goods if you catch my meaning. But Prey with this also denotes a predatory aspect.
Watch your drink. Watch what you drink too.
And if you don’t drink or are taking a break from drinks, be mindful of those paramours who are indulging a little too much themselves.
Drinks or no, “no” means “no.”
Don’t Be Deceived by the Prideful
Neptune Rx and 10961 Buysballot Rx in Aries does oppose 1930 Lucifer and 99942 Apophis in Libra as well. So the shadow side of illusions, more prominent ideologies, and “stuffing the ballot box” as it were… this has some give and take with pride before a fall, pride being Lucifer, and fall or destruction being Apophis here.
Neptune Rx/Buysballot and Lucifer/Apophis both square Ceres in Cancer, bringing this deceptive and manipulative trouble to the homefront and our living rooms. We’re really feeling trouble in our homes as well economically, so let’s say “market manipulation” and speculation are also on the list. I’d also include “rug pulls,” to borrow a phrase from the crypto world.
Now who would come to mind with this kind of manipulation? Memecoins, tariffs, gaslighting, bombastic pride, putting names on things they have no right putting names on…
I haven’t bothered checking the individual’s chart to this Lunar Eclipse yet. Even with a week off of the day job, I’ve been pulled in too many directions to bother.
Special Mention: 55555 DNA
I have to look at an asteroid aspect that isn’t impacting any major points or planets from what I see. 55555 DNA conjunct 6583 Destinn and 9770 Discovery in Gemini.
DNA brings to mind genetics, Discovery is self-explanatory, and Destinn brings to mind “destiny.”
Maybe we see a medical breakthrough regarding genetics and perhaps longevity. Or perhaps we find a way to “turn off” cancer generation.
It’s a long-shot of an example at interpreting this. Maybe nothing happens, maybe everything does. Or perhaps something else prevents or at least uncovers some matters regarding medical problems (not unlike the fiberglass in saline solution alert in several states).
Again, those asteroids don’t aspect anything major, so this could be a discovery swept under the rug. Keep this in mind for months or maybe a couple years later.
This conjunction’s at 24 Gemini, so if you have anything major aspecting that section of the chart, particularly conjunction, square, or opposition, pay attention to any diagnoses you have now.
In Closing
There’s a lot to unpack with this Lunar Eclipse. It’s the closure of some dream visions, illusions, and tearing away the veil of wishful thinking in some ways. For others, it’s bringing the cold splash of reality and alerting you that you’re going to need to end some unrealistic expectations to begin anew with a clean slate. But first, you’ve got some planning and analysis to do.
Do watch out for offers that are too good to be true, and at the same time, keep alert for the writing on the wall concerning your day-to-day obligations and health and all. Listen to your body, be your own advocate, and if someone’s telling you they’re about to pull the rug out from under you, believe them and step off of it on your own terms.
Endings bring new beginnings. Always remember that.
