July 15th 2020 – Sun Pollux, Moon Algol

Daily Report 2022

This is quite a window we have coming up here in the next 24 hours, fixed star-wise. I had intended to write an article on this, but other concerns have kept me from writing and thus the horse is already out of the barn with this. Something I noticed over a month ago, but I’m just going to write about it now.

Sun is crossing fixed star Pollux while we speak, which gives us:
Pollux with Sun: “Occult and theosophical interests, blows, stabs, serious accidents, shooting, shipwreck, murderer or murdered, extreme sickness and diseases, fevers, ailments affecting the stomach, evil disposition (used to be a term in astrology for homosexuality), riches and honor but final ruin, blindness, injuries to head and face, quarrels, rape committed or suffered, banishment, imprisonment for embezzling, violent death, decapitation” (Fixed Stars and Constellations in Astrology, Vivian E. Robson, 1923) (reference: Constellations of Words: Pollux)

At the same time, around midday tomorrow PDT, the Moon in Taurus crosses fixed star Algol, and *that* has its own influence: Algol with Moon: “Violent death or extreme sickness.” [Robson*, p.124.] (reference: Constellations of Words: Algol)

As we can see, the COVID-19 cases here in the United States keeps piling up and piling up, regardless of claims of doctoring data or otherwise. We are not in a good place here, though the state I’m in is weathering this storm a little better than most (despite being the first US state to be hit by this officially). Add to this Chiron having just having stationed retrograde, and being tightly conjunct Mars in Aries right now, *and* Sun in Cancer is opposing the Jupiter retrograde-Pluto retrograde conjunction in Capricorn… it’s quite descriptive.

Finally, we have a comet active and visible right now, Comet NEOWISE, in the constellation of Lynx, I would say it’s probably near the boundary of Cancer and Leo? I’m not entirely certain, and I’m not really certain about the influence of this body astrologically either, so this is little more than a side note in this post regrettably. Maybe some entomology help with Neo = New, and Wise = Wisdom? Perhaps new wisdom to come to us? Perhaps new wisdom and knowledge in how to fight this novel coronavirus will come… fingers crossed. Again, this is pure speculation on my part regarding the comet.

This year’s been full of many rare configurations, in my view. As far as the fixed stars involved here, take every precaution to avoid illness right now, as I think it’s going to pick up steam here in the US at least before it’s finally neutralized.
