The New Moon Itself
New Moon Taurus takes full effect at 07 Tau 46’53” on April 27th, 2025 at 12:31 PM PDT / 7:31 PM UTC.
This New Moon in Taurus is in the second sign of the zodiac, bringing to focus our money, stability, and possessions. In short, what we hold on to and what we value. And as we are seeing right now, things are anything but stable.
Sun conjunct Moon, being the hallmark aspect of any New Moon, denotes new beginnings, new projects getting off the ground (or being blown up on the launchpad), and starting up again. We’re in a Venus-oriented sign here, so what we value (including in relationships) takes center stage. But are we getting a fresh new start that’s actually going to help us get that money or that lover?
Other Aspects to the New Moon
Struggle
The primary issue is the T-Square from Mars in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius, both apexing the New Moon. While this is a somewhat loose T-Square, it’s a major hurdle.
Mars opposite Pluto is very, very rough. Mars is action, drive, ambition and passion, but also rage, anger, and violence. Pluto is death and rebirth, obliterates and sets aside ground to build again. We had this opposition in November 2024 and January 2025 as well, and we all know how well this went.
Expect a fair amount of arguments, struggles, fights, and endings. Particularly when it comes to the more fun and creative things, as well as flings and short-term relationships, and societal expectations and our relations with our larger circles, as well as society as a whole.
And let’s consider that Mars and Venus are still in post-retrograde shadows. So those extra chances with ex-lovers who really shouldn’t have been considered? Yeah, that’s gonna come to a head in some way or form. Could be you figure out it isn’t going to work, or the actual better prospect who would’ve been good for you gets fed up and walks away, leaving you with ashes. Figure it out or find out.
On top of this, New Moon Taurus also squares 3811 Karma and 447 Valentine in Leo, further ramping up the “did you choose the right partner” vibe. And at this point, it’s clear a lot of us chose poorly. So the find out is going to be strong. And with New Moon Taurus square 55555 DNA in Aquarius? Please tell me everyone used protection when with the second-chance chumps.
Oh. You didn’t? Enjoy finding out.
(This could also represent some not-so-pleasant genetic issues coming to light. Another pathogen? Perhaps a new discovery about what else microplastics are doing to our DNA? Anything’s possible).
New Moon Taurus opposite 100 Hekate retrograde in Scorpio also shows us that we’ve got to make some decisions, and we’ve got to decide pretty soon.
Or… people can just find out naturally and the decisions are made for them, with paths being chosen for them.
Next time, perhaps people won’t f*ck around so readily.
The other upshot of this is… perhaps some of us are being played by multiple players. Which ones? And which ones are real?
Some people may just decide to press all the buttons and indiscriminately, ahem, “solve” all the problems.
And finally, New Moon Taurus conjunct 564 Dudu highlights the crap hitting the fan. Of course, this may not be as much of a struggle if you really needed some good manure to grow some crops, so this could be a struggle or this could be a benefit.
However, if you were trying not to “step in it,” guess what: you should’ve brought your waders. Because it’s waist deep.

Nip the Problem
New Moon Taurus trine Ixion retrograde in Capricorn could be useful in ferreting out some betrayers before they can continue to cost us. If you’re the guest benefiting from generosity, make sure not to take undue advantage and you’ll probably be fine.
New Moon Taurus also sextiles 26 Proserpina and 1930 Lucifer in Cancer. Check the pride, as you may not have all the facts. And perhaps some bargains have to be made in the private sphere to bring some new life or opportunity.
Other Notable Aspects During the New Moon
Unleashing the Chaos
Mars opposite Pluto forms another T-square, this one with Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio.
While Lilith won’t be in range of opposing the New Moon in Taurus, this brings its own set of issues.
Black Moon Lilith, a calculated point that represents what’s beneath the deep, as well as the divine feminine in a way (and the oppressed or suppressed side at that), challenges us to confront our deep shadow. And it doesn’t get much darker than in Scorpio, ruled by… Mars and Pluto. Which it is squaring off against both. Both in opposition.
In Scorpio, the eight sign of the zodiac, and thus also embodying eighth house matters, involves sex, occult, other people’s resources, and… death. So some of us could be feeling mortality a little more acutely right now.
Lilith square Mars definitely shows up as some power struggles, like male patriarchy suppressing a woman’s bodily autonomy. Just look at the spate of state and federal laws that have been allowed to come about since the U.S. Supreme Court makeup changed from 2017-present regarding a woman and a doctor’s decisions regarding medical care and bodily autonomy.
Lilith square Pluto strikes me as breaking points. What’s been brewing beneath the surface will crack the ground and make itself known. Ignored that rusting strut on that bridge? Now you don’t have a bridge and a dozen cars floating down the river with drowned passengers. Stuff like that.
Adding to the vibe is 55 Pandora, 12927 Pinocchio, and 7470 Jabberwock in Leo squaring Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio as well.
We already know about Pandora and its unboxing action of chaos and ills.
We also know about Pinocchio and the nose growing with lies, as well as the desire to be a “real boy.”
Jabberwock, now here’s some Alice in Wonderland-style chaos. That creature was a monster that threatened to destroy Alice in service of the Queen of Hearts. And Pandora/Jabberwock/Pinocchio all play on the Mars side of this T-square. So the chaos is going to unleash this lunar cycle quite prolifically.
However, Black Moon Lilith does sextile 10961 Buysballot, 85047 Krakatau, and 4464 Vulcano in Virgo. We’ve got a chance of mitigating some damage by minimizing bribes done (or doing the right bribes if we need, like sweetening a deal), and we could see the brewing eruptions coming before they become major issues if we’re wise enough (such as closing that aforementioned bridge before it can give way, like a bridge that was just closed that leads to Mount Rainier in Washington state due to deterioration).
Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio also trines 9770 Discovery and 4227 Kaali in Pisces, so we’ve got further insight and knowledge that we can glean from this darkness.
It’s up to you to figure out what you glean from the shadows to prevent the worst of the evils from spilling out into your life.
Fated Bonds
We have a large cluster of chaos with Saturn, Venus, North Node, and 151 Abundantia in Pisces, and 114 Kassandra and Neptune in early Aries all conjunct.
Venus is still in post-retrograde shadow, and will soon be crossing back into its not-favorite sign of Aries. So we may still be looking at potential investments and relationships with cracked rose-colored glasses and seeing things through false hope. But Saturn is still tightly crunching its bloodied fist on what’s left of those glasses. And with the North Node, a point of destiny and where we’re meant to grow, still being conjunct this combination, we’ve got to face some hard truths right now.
Kassandra with this still tells us that people are still not listening to common sense and better judgment. It’s just going to continue until it doesn’t. Hopefully without fatal or violent consequences.
Neptune in Aries in all of this is done with the dreamworld illusions of pipe dreams too. It’s on fire, and it’s recruiting hearts and minds to more virulent and fiery causes now. Definitely be aware of the proliferation of cults of personality and of self-appointed “saviors.” This includes potential lovers and those exes you gave another chance to that you really shouldn’t have bothered with. Kassandra will be screaming that too.
And still people won’t listen.
On top of that, Venus and Neptune are also straddling fixed star Scheat, and the Scheat is certainly hitting the fan. Expect all sorts of accidents still, poisonings of souls, poisonings in literal senses, and potentially drowning of sorrows and literal drownings.
We’re being told to sober the f*ck up, and the cosmos is telling us this with a jackhammer.
Venus/Saturn/North Node Pisces trine Juno retrograde in Scorpio could open up some potential links and opportunities that were overlooked before. So if one’s done with the FA, perhaps they don’t have to FO because they figure it out.
Venus/Saturn/North Node Pisces sextile Uranus and 875 Nymphe on Algol in Taurus could also prove to spice things up a bit. Just be careful that you’re inviting the right amount of chaos, and drawing the right kind of crazy. After all, Juno retrograde does oppose Uranus/Nymphe as well.
Ask yourself who you really want to play around with.
In Closing
So there’s a great deal of finding out that a lot of us are going to have to do this lunar cycle. If we play our cards right though, and better sense prevails, perhaps some of us figure it out so we don’t have to actually find out.
