Full Moon Capricorn II 2024

All hell has broken loose, and this second Full Moon in Capricorn this year shows it.

The Full Moon Itself

Full Moon Capricorn II comes at us with full intensity at 29 Cap 08’49” on July 21, 2024 at 3:17:07 AM PDT / 10:17:07 AM UTC. This is the second Full Moon in Capricorn this year, the tenth sign of the zodiac. Again, reputation, fame, career, and this is the culmination point at the critical end of this cardinal sign. Following the New Moon in Cancer, we are finding ourselves in the midst of upheaval on the world stage.

Again, Saturn rules this Full Moon as well, and it still has an affliction to a key asteroid, but isn’t really aspecting much as far as major points or bodies. As this Full Moon is also in the end of the third decan, there’s a Mercury-like Virgo vibe to this. People are analyzing what’s happening in recent events, but conclusions are… mercurial.

Sun in the final degree of Cancer during this Full Moon shines a light on the goings on in the homefront, yet the Neptunian/Piscean vibe of this third decan of Cancer tells us nothing concrete.

Sun Opposite Moon also plays into this with the back and forth between our sense of self and our feelings on these matters. Feelings will not be clear, of that I can absolutely tell you with the other major aspects occuring.

Nothing will be certain for the next couple of week, except for uncertainty.

Other Aspects to the Full Moon

False Saviors

Full Moon Capricorn II conjuncts Pluto retrograde and 114 Kassandra retrograde, which is pretty powerful in itself.

Pluto is the Lord of the Underworld, tearing down the old and paving the way for the new. As it’s an offsign conjunction in Aquarius, we’re dealing with some intense reckonings as to how we should upset the apple cart and go against the grain, while also not succumbing to madness.

Kassandra in Capricorn, well, this brings to mind “Cassandra syndrome.” Warnings unheeded. Combined with Pluto here, we need to be careful which warnings to heed right now.

Full Moon Capricorn II also opposes 99942 Apophis in late Cancer and 5264 Telephus in early Leo, which adds to the warnings.

Apophis is destruction, while Telephus brings to mind telepathy, and other psychic impulses.

Add to this Full Moon Capricorn II squaring 2696 Magion in early Taurus, and also 8690 Swindle in early Scorpio and 390 Alma in late Libra… it’s a hodgepodge of symbolism.

Magion in the sign of the Bull brings to mind making magick, and where money and wealth is concerned.

Alma means “soul” in Spanish as I recall, and this brings to mind some soul urges. In late Libra, relationships and partnerships come to mind. Yet, with Swindle in Scorpio, there’s some serious mind games going on here. Darker deceptions and “false twins” (in case you think you found a “twin flame” or some other hopeful union thing).

Combined, this asteroid Grand Cross interacting with the Full Moon warns us to heed warnings and do not seek the solace of False Messiahs. And absolutely do not fall for the revival of antichrist figures.

Deception is rife now.

Holding Raging Passion to Task

Full Moon Capricorn II and Pluto retrograde trine Mars and Sedna in Gemini and Uranus in Taurus, and 3402 Wisdom in early Libra is another interesting one.

Mars is passion, drive, anger, the raw carnal desire, and in Gemini, it takes on a Mercurial “lay down I want to talk to you” vibe. But combined with Sedna? Raw passions and betrayals, and I’d also suspect revenge.

Now, trine the Moon and Pluto, there’s an increased chance of being able to walk away or do away with situations no longer serving your best interest. With the trine to Wisdom in early Libra for a bit of a Grand Trine, the clarity of knowing which unions aren’t going to work should be a little more clear.

But with the dark side of the Grand Trine (tendency to inertia and laziness, procrastination), will we actually act in our best interests?

Uranus in this pattern also adds to the uncertainty and “anything can happen” vibes, especially in regards to finances, resources, and stability. We’re seeing this along with Mars and Sedna with the Democratic donors attempting to pressure Joe Biden to end his reelection bid for the Presidency. I don’t think he’s going to back down despite the debate fiasco and now Covid.

Recognizing Delusions

Full Moon Capricorn II and Pluto retrograde sextile Neptune retrograde in Pisces, itself on fixed star Scheat tends to be an oddball “soft” influence.

Neptune and Scheat together are amplifying self-delusions and doubts, and potentialities of diving down rabbit holes that don’t make sense if one’s not careful. Yet, there could also be that potion of truth that we need to see amidst the shadows of illusions.

The sextile between these two points suggests we can glean a little clarity from the chaos. It could be a good time to fight some addictions and maybe even succeed, as long as you commit to the path forward. It doesn’t even need to be drugs or alcohol per se. Social media doomscrolling, serious sugar cravings, other repetitive tasks that fuel procrastination, these are also addictions to combat. Gaming addiction even.

It’s time to face reality.

Other Noteworthy Aspects During the Full Moon

Chaos Unfolding

Uranus in Taurus conjunct fixed star Algol is still in play. And it’s going to continue to be in play for a while. Last time these two joined together was in mid-1941 before Pearl Harbor and the U.S. entry into World War II. Take a look at the chaos of Russia’s very ill-advised, illegal invasion of Ukraine, the Israel-Hamas war (which now looks like is involving Hezbollah and the Houthis as well). It’s not good.

Uranus also squares Mercury, 128 Nemesis, 896 Sphinx, and 13897 Vesuvius in Leo, and Mercury just entered pre-retrograde shadow as well. This is very explosive.

Mercury now in pre-retrograde shadow before it reverses in Virgo in early August is already making a mess of things. The CrowdStrike update crash that crippled computer systems across the globe is a major indicator of this, and also is a demonstration of the carnage that unfolds when improperly-or-not-vetted-at-all updates are pushed out. A cardinal rule of IT was also broken: don’t push to production on Friday. (Yes, it was Friday in UTC, so it counts!)…

Now, adding Nemesis to the mix, and you have retribution and making open enemies in high focus. Again, I point to the Biden donors and high-profile Democrats urging a wind-down of his campaign in this, which he’s of course resisting.

Sphinx adds a riddle to this: what’s happening? Many riddles are in play, and we have to answer these now.

Vesuvius is, of course, bringing to mind Mount Vesuvius, which nuked Pompeii into oblivion in 79 C.E. Quite incendiary.

So we’ve got a volatile mix here, and essentially we have no idea whose head is going to end up rolling. Yes, I say this even after the Trump assassination attempt in Butler PA over this past weekend. (Some people believe it was staged. With as much uncertainty and deception aspects in play, plus Trump’s reputation in some circles, I can see why some people would believe that. I don’t think it was, but I do have some serious questions about other aspects of that incident).

Dominance and Blowback

Saturn retrograde and Nessus retrograde in Pisces continue their despotic dance in the realm of hidden enemies and illusions.

Saturn is discipline, roadblocks, blockages, and other forms of contraction.

Nessus is abuse. Abuse of power. Abuse of attention (obsessions).

Combined, these two are heavily destructive, and both are retrograde, so they’re also turned inwards. Many deceptive back room deals and power plays in the dark now. And all the enemies you don’t know about.

Saturn and Nessus square 12927 Pinocchio in Gemini doesn’t make this any easier. The bigger the lie, the bigger the nose grows. Some people will have to follow their noes to try to get to the truth.

But there’s another dynamic at play. It’s like Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron: “Now there are no strings on me.” In other words, some players who have been playing parts are no longer content to be bit players, and want top billing now.

The puppetmasters could be in danger of losing control of their puppets during the next couple of weeks. Watch what unfolds.

In Closing

A lot is happening.

This second Full Moon in Capricorn is revealing some disturbing patterns of destruction, scheming, and intensity of the game involved now. And it’s clear that in this game, people win or people die.

They say keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I say be careful who you trust, and keep an eye on the exits.

Heed warnings, keep your wits about you, and don’t let yourself get distracted by idiocy.

A lot of garbled messages and miscommunication will be coming. Triple-check everything important.
