It’s been a struggle to even get to this article. Diving in.
This New Moon Itself
New Moon Pisces exact conjunction at 28 Pis 27’05” takes place on March 18th, 2026 6:23 PM PDT / March 19th, 2026 1:23 AM UTC.
With this New Moon occurring in the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, and just short of the critical final degree, we’re taking stock in what’s been running in the subconscious, beneath the surface, and listening to our inner voice. As this is also in the third decan of Pisces, being Scorpio-Plutonic, we are ending this astrological year with a new cycle diving very deeply into what’s been driving us, whether we realize it or not.
As the Scorpionic influence also deals with eight house themes of the occult, sex, and of course, death, and as the Scorpio-themed third decan of Pisces also shares a Mars element, the fact the war with Iran by the United States and Israel is escalating should not be lost on us. There’s also the rumors of Netanyahu possibly having been, ahem, deleted. We’ll get to the karmic aspects of this New Moon soon.
Sun conjunct Moon remains the primary aspect of this and all New Moons. A new cycle begins, new projects coming, new chapters being written. Given the placement and some of the bodies involved, this could prove to be a quite bloody new chapter. If the worst is averted, then the questions of what we’ve been doing with our lives, how our systems are holding us with or without our consent, and what can the people at large do about it comes into play.
These next few weeks are going to be revealing quite a bit, and also going to be quite chaotic with the fog of war and the unknown. Buckle up.
Other Aspects to this New Moon
Chaotic Karma
New Moon Pisces tightly sextile Uranus in the last degrees of Taurus does ease the chaos and uncertainty a bit if we do the hard work.
Uranus is rebellion, surprising events, chaos, and right now it’s in the last degrees of Taurus, the sign of the bull, and of stability and security. As we can see, things are not safe nor secure! However… there is an opportunity to dial things back, possibly via backroom deals and back channels before things get too much worse, before more damage is done. But this requires surviving major players in any event (personal, business, or global) to admit they fucked up and commit to finding out in a controlled manner.
Without doing that work, the find out becomes uncontrolled, and markets will destabilize. Given the price of gasoline and diesel just in the last couple weeks since the Lunar Eclipse, we’re all finding out just how batshit insane our so-called “leaders” truly are.
What are we going to do about it?
New Moon Pisces also makes a wide, off-sign conjunction to Saturn and Neptune in Aries.
Saturn is discipline, hard work, roadblocks, blockages, and contraction.
Neptune is ideals, ideology, the deeper mental state, and can also deal with addictions.
We seem to have people addicted to having to learn things the hard way, and pushing forward with ideas whether or not it’s wise. Usually from an inflated sense of self-importance.
It’s important to note that Saturn is in fall in Aries. Saturn is weakened here. Key players will find they do not in fact hold all the cards or control what they need to control. It’s not a good spot for Saturn here for the next couple of years.
We should also note that Neptune, with its dreaminess and daydreaming of better days now behind us for the next century and a half or so, was also in the beginning of Aries when the U.S. Civil War began in the 1860s. Compromise and coming to a peaceful solution would require people use their heads and taking a step back. In this Mars-ruled sign, that will prove to be quite difficult. People will be more convinced than ever that their way is the right way no matter what.
We’re in for a bumpy time, and I’d argue a bumpy month. But we could be surprised with some last-ditch hiccups that derail the gears of war.
On our more personal levels, we will have to protect our own interests from those who are forcing their desires upon us. Expect blatantly undiplomatic threats and oppositions as people try to pull the “my way or the highway” bullshit in greater frequency. You will have to be aboveboard, strategic, and stand your ground if you’re going to protect yourself and those around you.
Pacifism is a nice idea, but with this alignment, it’s not going to get you anywhere. Be assertive. And watch for aggression.
Passive-aggression will explode. So don’t do that.
We also have to consider New Moon Pisces conjunct fixed star Scheat. It’s within a little over a degree orb, but it’s still valid in my view as this is a pretty potent star.
With both Sun and Moon close to Scheat, the potential of danger and issues regarding water and accidents, we could also argue combat and military engagements involving water and sea. Fitting given the Strait of Hormuz factor affecting everything right now. So that particular conflict won’t be ending anytime soon, and we’ll be feeling effects for at least the duration of this lunar cycle. Watch your wallets.
In general, it would also be wise to watch for other accidents and poisonings as well, including overdoses and addictions in general, as Scheat also influences these.
On the plus side, New Moon Pisces sextile Juno in Capricorn, itself trine Uranus in Taurus could bring some positive developments with agreements, contracts, and perhaps alliances as well. Think of vested parties and governments or institutions standing up against an organization or individual who is acting in bad faith or acting recklessly.
New Moon Pisces opposing 5264 Telephus retrograde (Rx) in late Virgo and square 433 Eros and 14827 Hypnos in late Gemini does point to some potential trouble in paradise, and the potentiality for some serious psychic manipulation. Be aware of what you’re watching, reading, and viewing as the subliminal messaging potential is extremely high right now. We could even fool ourselves, particularly in matters of love and lust.
Other Notable Aspects During this New Moon
Mercury’s Still Doing Its Thing…
Mercury is still retrograde in Pisces for a couple days yet, stationing direct on March 20th. And, as Mercury is in its detriment in Pisces, communications and travel are not quite clear or straightforward. Be aware that delays are still ever present.
North Node Pisces also conjuncts Mercury Rx, and Black Moon Lilith in Sagittarius is squaring these. We’re at a destiny point now, and we’re finding that there’s been some unexpected issues beneath the surface hiding out, and making themselves known now, particularly in the more expansive, carefree realm of longer journeys and foreign affairs. In short, plowing ahead with matters is showing us the find out part of FAFO, and will continue to pop up during this lunar cycle (for the next four weeks or so). Enjoy!
1930 Lucifer conjunct South Node in Virgo, squaring Black Moon Lilith, adds to the “pride before a fall” feel of what the next month is going to bring for us. Expect key players both in global affairs and in our personal lives to get some unwelcome news and for some to “fall on their own swords.” Perhaps people should have waited before engaging in really bad ideas. Or perhaps done some more homework before executing on good ideas, depending on our situation.
Questionable Luck
Venus in Aries square Jupiter in Cancer isn’t quite as fortunate as we would like during this lunar cycle.
Venus is in detriment in Aries, given that one of its home signs is Libra. Pursuit of love, money, things we value, those take on more of an individualistic and even a bit of a selfish aspect to it in the harder cases. Quite ego-driven, given that Aries relates more to individuality and the self, and Libra is more of a social, team-player placement for this planet.
Jupiter, on the other hand, is exalted in Cancer and normally does quite well here. It’s still somewhat slow, having just stationed direct recently, but it’s starting to pick up some momentum. Maybe some sense of optimism and luck regarding more maternal matters, and in our home lives.
Given this square, our hope for the future in our family and private lives is turned on its head by the not-so-auspicious state of Venus’s position. There could be a little bit of homewrecking involved, or perhaps we’ve got to fight for our families and homes against someone trying to force their way and take what really isn’t theirs.
Reckoning
Pluto in Aquarius sextile Saturn and Neptune in Aries can be somewhat constructive in a way. We’ve got the social networking and upstart aspect of Aquarius being used to tear down some status-quo structures, such as the propaganda flying on all sides by the Iranians (playing with AI videos), and the Israelis (Netanyahu’s(?) “I’m not dead, really” videos). There’s some hard work and imagination at play here, but how this ends is anyone’s guess. Many people aren’t buying it.
On a non-global conflict note, this aspect urges us to consider how we can use the new technologies and social connections to change our society, and our place in it for the better, or at least improve our standing in it.
Pluto square 157 Dejanira Rx in Scorpio, and also squaring 7328 Casanova, 6157 Prey, 99942 Apophis, and 157 Kassandra in Taurus adds a darker side to this story.
Pluto square Dejanira alone is troubling as this points to some pretty brutal victimization going on here, particularly in a sign associated with death among one of its topics. Plenty of that and plenty of victims. And the Epstein List thing isn’t going away, but it’s certainly been defocused by this colossal clusterfuck in the Middle East.
On the other side of this asteroid T-Square, we’ve got themes of wooing people (Casanova), more hunting and victimizing (Prey), and destruction (Apophis). And of course, there are people who said this was a bad idea but no one listened (Kassandra).
And now the consequences are laid bare, and there’s quite a bit of destruction and fear going on. Also, with the drone strikes hitting around places like Dubai, the influencers there are starting to realize that maybe sticking around there is no longer a winning play and some have pulled up stakes, disrupting their lives. The Pluto in Aquarius part of this is strong, and it’s only going to get stronger for the next decade and a half or so. Pluto is upheaval and tearing down structures. And as it’s associated with the Tower in tarot, it’s only a matter of time until we see a real “Tower Moment.”
In Closing
We’re going to see some major changes sweep up on us whether we’re ready for them or not this lunar cycle. The old world is fading away, a new world is forming in front of us, and it’s not a pretty one.
There’s some potential still to mitigate some of the damage being done if some players (both big and small) wise up and backpedal from their mistakes, but the ego component I’m seeing here doesn’t seem to suggest that that’s going to happen.
So the FAFO will be quite strong for the next month or so, and from some whispers I’m seeing on social media, the next New Moon in Aries is going to be even more explosive.
Consider this a rising crescendo. Not really a “calm before the storm”, as we’re already in the storm. But the winds are going to blow harder.
Stay safe out there and protect your interests. We are in cutthroat times.
