A great deal is in play with this Lunar Eclipse this time around. The world has entered a new phase, and things have activated for better or for worse.
The Lunar Eclipse Itself
Lunar Eclipse Virgo hits peak intensity at 12 Vir 53’53” on March 3rd, 2026 at 3:37 AM PST / 11:37 UTC. As Lunar Eclipses go, this can be considered a supercharged Full Moon, with this also being a South Node Eclipse. Many chapters of our past are coming to a close and situations seemingly coming to fruition. There is a caveat though, with an active Mercury retrograde in the mix and Virgo being ruled by Mercury.
This Lunar Eclipse will be felt for the next several months, and the endings that come now pave the way for new beginnings later.
Given that this Lunar Eclipse falls in the second decan of Virgo, we add a Capricornian and Saturnian feel to this one. While Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac and handles matters of health, obligations, day-to-day affairs and jobs (as opposed to careers normally), the second-decan Capricornian effects also do point to reputation and careers being affected as well. This also involves institutions such as government, and we’re seeing a massive shakeup occurring in that sphere now.
Sun opposite Moon is the primary aspect of this Lunar Eclipse / Full Moon, as always. Culminations, project completions, matters drawing to a close, these are the typical effects. With Sun in the twelfth sign of the zodiac in Pisces, we have some give and take with our more subtle subconscious feelings and desires. Hidden enemies will come to light, and there’s the risk of involuntary institutionalization as well (like prisons, hospitals, etc.) Definitely keep a tab on your mental health and with any addictions you may be fighting or overcoming.
Those with planetary placements and angles or points (like the Nodes, Black Moon Lilith, etc.) from 7 degrees to 17 degrees in mutable signs (Virgo/Sagittarius/Pisces/Gemini) will feel this eclipse the most. Solar returns within a few days of this eclipse will feel it for the entire solar return year, for better or for worse. Vertex/Antivertex placements are tighter to feel this at 11-13 degrees of the mutable signs.
Other Aspects to this Lunar Eclipse
Lunar Eclipse Virgo sextile Jupiter retrograde (Rx) in Cancer, itself slowing down for it’s later station, is the only real major aspect to a major planet for this one.
Jupiter in Cancer is exalted, and thus is a little stronger, but it’s slowed down and still in reverse, so whatever good luck or fortune we have is still a bit muted. Optimism is a bit off. So things aren’t feeling all that stable in the realm of home and private or family life right now, but there’s still some opportunity for some hard work and sacrifice to pay off. It’ll just take a bit.
Lunar Eclipse Virgo opposite Pallas, 390 Alma, and 26955 Lie in Pisces (conjunct the Sun in Pisces as well) shines a light on deception during the next several months, and this will need to be confronted by wisdom and arguably divine guidance to also overcome the web of deceit that is taking over.
Do be careful, as Lunar Eclipse Virgo also conjuncts 1930 Lucifer. Some calculated schemes notwithstanding, pride does come before a fall. Either the lies pull the proud down, or they’ll be able to strategically position themselves to keep the charade going. However, this also allows us some leeway to analyze the situation and uncover the proud monsters out there.
The other aspect of this is taking some pride in our due diligence and uncovering deceptions and betrayals. Let’s see which of these possibilities play out.
Lunar Eclipse Virgo square 16 Psyche and 1912 Anubis in Gemini adds a psychic element to this, and suggests we should be wary of psychic conflict and miscommunication in actual or potential partnerships (given the Libran qualities of the second decan of Gemini).
Other Notable Aspects During this Lunar Eclipse
Yes, Mercury is retrograde
Mercury retrograde in Pisces is already in fall in this sign, and thus we’re not communicating as well as we should. This also clouds our judgment and may prevent us, or delay us, from seeing what needs to be seen.
Mercury also conjuncts Nessus right now. Nessus isn’t a nice centaur (having both asteroid and comet-like characteristics). At best, it can represent some real obsessions. At worst, abuse. At its ugliest, “revenge from the grave.” So be careful if you think you’ve taken down an adversary, as they may have some sort of “final attack” ready to go as a contingency plan if they go down. In a way, we’re seeing this right now with the retaliatory strikes Iran’s military is lashing out with after the joint U.S. and Israeli strikes that decapitated its leadership.
The other question you really have to ask is… “did you really vanquish the enemy?”
Mercury trine 875 Nymphe Rx in Cancer and 3811 Karma in Scorpio does make an interesting Grand Trine of sorts. Some deeper karmic links may be coming back to us, and perhaps stemming from some sultry private action. Maybe some additions to a family for some, while there could be some reminiscing and returning to exes for others. But it is Mercury retrograde, so be careful which exes you really want to reconnect with.
This asteroid grand trine with Mercury Rx here could also be a time we get some final closure with some people from our past, for whatever that’s worth. But think carefully if that’s even worth the effort, or if you really even need that closure.
Mercury Rx sextile Juno in Capricorn also can signal a bit of unfinished business with some more committed or contractual matters, such as legal status of some relationships among other things. Do be cautious if you renegotiate a contract now, as Juno in Capricorn can go heavy on the legalese, and there is the capacity for contracts and agreements to break down now. But it may be recoverable with the “softer” sextile here, or at least the damage not be as bad as, say, if it were a “harder” square aspect.
What’s Real?
Venus in Pisces sextile Uranus in late Taurus does add some potentiality for changes in fortune. Uranus isn’t really strong in Taurus, so some of the gains may be muted. This can also affect financial markets a bit more (Not financial advice), but the volatility may be somewhat muted. This could be good or bad depending on strategy.
There’s also the chances of some unexpected gains, such as unexpected help, or levels of help for some in need. This could also manifest as reduced losses if you pay special attention to your intuition and know when to cut losses.
Venus making a wide, off-sign conjunction to Neptune and Saturn in early Aries does warn us to be realistic in what we’re seeking to gain, be it money, property, or in love or lust.
Saturn also isn’t in its strongest energy in Aries, as its ruled by Mars. Mars energy wants to go-go-go, and Saturn doesn’t really deal with “let’s go!” energy very well. Neptune also adds an air of illusion, but being in Aries, the dream has faded and it’s more active, mental energy now.
It’s really easy to cross mental wires and go down a rabbit hole of paranoia and fanaticism right now. Be cautious whose cause you hitch your banner to, as there’s a real danger of forceful ideologies grabbing the reigns and going into really violent places (such as ultranationalism and the propaganda of war drums).
Venus opposite 19 Fortuna Rx in Virgo also adds a bit of uncertainty where intelligent gains are concern. You might think you have everything done right, but something could be missing, or what you’re seeking to gain may prove to be illusory.
Violent Betrayals
Mars at 0 Pisces squaring Uranus in late Taurus is contentious enough. Mars is in the sign of illusions and hidden enemies, and Uranus likes to surprise and doesn’t like stability in Taurus. Expect expansions of conflicts where you least expect them. Think sleeper cells, tensions boiling over, and the impulsive chance to settle scores.
Mars also squares Sedna at 0 Gemini, adding to the struggle and the fight. Sedna deals with its own set of betrayals, and being on the Pleaides, Sedna I feel is quite alert when it comes to the assertion of the patriarchy trying to tamp down the divine feminine right now. Bad move. The fight for equal rights will not go quiet, and will in fact become much louder the more reversals in hard-fought rights are attempted.
There’s also the factor of Mars square 12927 Pinocchio, 37117 Narcissus, and 42355 Typhon all in early Sagittarius. So there’s an element of pride, lies, and overoptimistic forcefulness influencing entries into conflicts. Not a good idea to start wars of convenience and based on lies or covering up other truths to save one’s skin.
Oh wait, that already happened.
It’s not going to go smoothly at all and there will be blood to pay the price with.
So whatever you do, just don’t start any more fires that don’t need to be started right now. You will get burnt. Or scalded, given Mars in a water sign.
Painting a Very Sinister Picture
Let’s jump to Pluto, the destroyer and renewer.
Pluto in Aquarius sextile Saturn and Neptune in Aries is interesting enough. These slow-moving powerhouses making this “softer” aspect still is going to be giving us months of interesting times ahead.
Pluto in Aquarius has a tendency of stirring the populace into action. Where institutions and governments started facing structural issues and “Tower moments” (referring to The Tower in tarot) while it was in Capricorn, Aquarius is the realm of the people, knowledge, and technology.
Pluto making this sextile to Saturn and Neptune in Aries is accelerating the urge and vibe to apply technology in ways that are expected to force a level of control on us. Think of Anthropic pushing back against the Department of War (really should still be Department of Defense) in maintaining some guardrails on AI. Particularly the “don’t do mass domestic surveillance on citizens” and “keep a human in the loop so machines don’t decide on their own who to kill and not kill” kinds of things.
OpenAI didn’t exactly stick to that kind of pledge. So what happened in the last day or two? Many people began cancellation of ChatGPT plans, and started switching over to Anthropic’s Claude.
The opinion seems to be “have some ethics and push back against unacceptable demands by the government.”
We also have Pluto square 763 Cupido Rx and 157 Dejanira Rx in Scorpio, while Pluto itself also conjuncts 10961 Buysballot and 4386 Lust.
This paints an interesting picture, where the themes of hidden victimization and seduction are fueling the fire of people’s discontent. It also plays into the attempts to undermine elections and the abuse of power for selfish ends, regardless of who it hurts. Sounding similar to the varying calls to “nationalize elections” while the fallout of the Epstein Files is still playing out… and intensifying.
Pluto sextile 6583 Destinn, 8690 Swindle and 55555 DNA in Aries also plays into these themes. I think some other deceptions and lies are going to be uncovered, not just in geopolitical and power-broker affairs, but in all our lives.
Strongly recommend you carry yourself forward with some heavy integrity, lest you reap the wheel of karma yourselves.
In Closing
To sum this up, this Lunar Eclipse is bringing forth some rapid developments and conclusions to some matters that have been playing out for years, and it’s only the beginning.
However some powers that be wanted to think they were playing four-dimensional chess, the reality is: they didn’t consider all the moves. Oh, plenty of moves were considered, but some details were most assuredly lost in the fog, and the blowback is going to suck.
It’s not just corrupt power-players. Some of us individuals have also been on the receiving end of some poor judgments, unfair decisions, and many of us are ready to fight back.
But be aware that going to battle without a plan is not going to work well. And make sure that plan, whether it’s a project, fighting for justice, or simply trying to survive, can withstand or factor in some unexpected twists.
Things are not as they seem. Be careful who you trust, and if you do have trustworthy people in your lives, treat them well. You’re going to need them.
Be careful out there, especially in the Middle East. It’s getting hot fast.
