This lunar cycle is looking to be a bit of a rough one, but it isn't without its merits. And it's a lead up to the "Almost Lunar Eclipse" later this month! Let's dive in, shall we?
The New Moon itself trines Saturn retrograde, which isn't a bad thing in and of itself. This lunar cycle, we will be looking within and seeing where we have limited ourselves, and will enact plans that will allow us to overcome this self-limiting. The overcoming will not be easy at all, as Saturn retrograde is still apex a T-square with Neptune retrograde in Pisces and the North Node in Virgo.. We will, of course, be tempted to retreat back into addictions, into old fantasies, old ways of escape. We mustn't allow ourselves to give in to these inclinations. Expeciallly considering that we have a new asteroid I'm adding to the analysis, 666 Desdemona conjuncting Saturn for the apex as well. Self-imposed restrictions at this time via escaping into old addictions and fantasies is bound to be especially detrimental this month, as this just strikes me as... pretty dark side fears. Rise above it and power on through. Use that trine to the New Moon for all its worth, trust me.
Pluto retrograde is just within a hair of sextile Neptune retrograde, and this aspect is fading a bit, as Neptune moves faster than Pluto. We also have Pluto trine North Node at this time, so we have some inner dynamic to ease our struggle a bit, and some of us will embark on some alternatives that we had not yet considered to come to some solutions. Now, being Pluto, and it being retrograde, we're going to have to pay a price for these options previously not considered. Possibly a heavy price, depending on aspects to your own natal chart. This price is going to be amplified, I believe, as Pluto also conjuncts 8813 Leviathan, and apexes a T-square between 37117 Narcissus/9951 Tyrannosaurus in fiery Aries, and 4955 Gold in airy Libra. Whatever alternative solution you didn't consider before is going to take some serious eating of crow and swallowing of pride. And it'll cost you. And you're going to have to suck it up and do it because right now that's the nature of this beast. Leviathan and Tyrannosaurus are both beasts, true. With Arachne conjunct North Node, now's the time to leverage your networks to make this solution possible.
Mars just inside Sagittarius squaring Venus in Leo and Mercury in Virgo implies that we have some rough business when it comes to communicating and in love this month, though maybe not necessarily with the same people. (Or, perhaps, as Mercury and Venus are 8 degrees apart, bringing their transiting midpoint almost exactly square Mars...), maybe there is something regarding romance and communications or travel. And if we look, 1388 Aphrodite is more exactly square Mars, albeit as an offsign square with that Mercury/Venus midpoint. So I stand corrected, romance and some rough aggression, anger, jealousy perhaps. Maybe a travel hiccup hinders your arrival to a date, for example. Maybe just a little late, though, as Uranus/Eris (both retrograde) and 4386 Lust trines Venus in this configuration. We should consider that maybe we sabotage ourselves a little but recover in this messaging. Maybe we're in denial of allowing enough time to get to a destination? Better be careful with that.
Asteroid-wise, I see Uranus/Eris/Lust also are in an asteroid Grand Cross with oppostion to 42355 Typhon in Libra, and squaring 3811 Karma in Cancer and 6583 Destinn in Capricorn.. Ouch. Typhon is a bit of an amplifier, and I think of a beast moving through the currents. Think like a typhoon touching down, and with it in Libra, we have some major air power with it. Karma and Destinn being squared, well, we probably are standing up and rebelling against some downsides in our lives, and basically, what this tells me is that for this lunar cycle, we are going to reap what we sow in unexpected and abrupt ways, more than likely by our own doing.
We also have 1981 Midas conjunct 564 Dudu, and squaring 389 Industria, North Node, and 407 Arachne. So, speaking of the networking earlier, and possible gains via solutions not considered before, we need to filter out the crap and honestly, we're probably gonna get the carrot and stick treatment. Be aware of the bait and switch and watch for it. What seems like a sure thing this cycle? Isn't.
And to top it off, we have 90377 Sedna conjunct 100 Hekate on fixed star Algol and it's squaring Venus and 3412 Kafka in Leo. ...OK. That's a hell of a mix, to be quite honest. Sedna... This is based on an Innuit myth of a woman who was married off by her father to someone who seemed to be well, but he wasn't what he was cracked up to be, and when she tried to go back to her father, ... I need to look this up, but long story short, she got betrayed by both the new husband and the father, her fingers were cut off, and she sank to the bottom of the sea. Put this on Algol, which is the eye of Medusa who was herself betrayed before becoming that snake-haired gorgon that petrifies people with her glare, and combine that with the asteroid of the goddess of the crossroads (and an occult asteroid at that)... and THEN add a harsh aspect to the planet of love, romance, and pleasant things, and... yeah, it's a real shitshow. And Venus is with Kafka, so all of this is going to reveal even more unbelievable things, to the point it's absurd.
Let's be clear on something: Sedna moves SLOW. I'm nearing my next solar return (yeah, 5 days after the Almost Lunar Eclipse), and Sedna was at 5 or so Taurus when I was born. It's at 26 Taurus now, almost 38 years later. It's a long orbit. So it's been on Algol for a bit, and it's going to stay on Algol for a while. Just in time for a lot of stuff happening in the world. I should do a special article on this when I get more time, but still, I have other projects going on at this time that demand my immediate attention, so this will of course... be delayed.
Keep your wits about you, and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it! See you for the eclipse!
